My Thoughts: Stuart Fails to Save the Universe: Spoiler: We Couldn't Get Green Lantern (9/17/2026)

Synopsis: Stuart (Kevin Sussman) and his friends are trapped inside a comic book, courtesy of an all-powerful entity, the Adversary (André Sogliuzzo). No longer in possession of the device, their only hope is to find the Flash (Andy Ridings) and convince them to use his abilities to transport them back to their universe before Mr. Freeze (Eric Allan Kramer), sent by the Adversary, kills them.


My Thoughts: 

I had some doubts because this could have gone a number of wrong ways, but it was well done. Having the Flash be the older, Jay Garrick, version was a nice touch as was having the team still being forced to sit through mundane tasks, like waiting for their flight at an airport and getting food poisoning while having it broadcast on the pages of the comic book.

I was, however, left with questions about why. Assuming, of course, the Adversary is a main bad guy and not just universe specific, I think it would be safe to assume it knows just about everything about Stuart, especially his extensive knowledge of comic books that even Stuart himself described as his superpower. You would think it would be the last place it would want to trap him, unless it was hoping he would be happy in Gotham City and not try to escape.

Mayim Bialik's second guest appearance was possibly the best cameo from The Big Bang Theory so far.  What's it like being in a relationship with a superhero? Apparently not as pleasant as one would thing, especially when you can't park your car in the garage because of his treadmill being in the way or the lovemaking is over before you realize it started. She played the part perfectly and had me laughing multiple times.

I do, however, think there was a missed opportunity. I know Jim Parsons is reluctant to play his iconic role again, but my first thought was "this episode needed Sheldon Cooper as the Flash." I think it would have been a fantastic twist, especially when given the opportunity to once again team up with Bialik.

I still am puzzled about Gary (Tommy Walker). Is he just in almost every episode to give the show someone to constantly kill off, like Kenny from South Park? Or is he secretly something more that has yet to be revealed?

Final Opinion: Bialik helped with this a lot, but I would probably describe this as my favorite episode of this series to date and can't wait to see how the season ends.

Kwik Trip Kitchen Cravings Tailgater Pizza

  When my wife and I decided on pizza for dinner last night, I stopped at Kwik Trip with the intention of just buying a cheap, frozen, cheese pizza for our daughters since we already had another pizza in our freezer. Jen's Family Table Sloppy Joe Meat

  I had been eying this product at Kwik Trip for a few weeks now and, needing something for dinner last night, decided to finally purchase it (though, admittedly, my first plan was to get their taco meat, which ended up being sold out). After trying it, my opinion wound up being mixed. There were a couple things I really liked about this product. One of the main ones was the price. A 1-pound package cost $3.49. A pound of hamburger currently costs about $5, and that's only if I happen to find it on sale. When you add in the cost of a can of sloppy Joe sauce , this product ends up costing half as much as the way we usually make sloppy Joes. I also found I liked the convenience. Since the meat is already cooked, all I had to do was warm it up in the microwave for a couple minutes rather than frying the burger, draining the grease, and adding the can of sauce. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Episode Review: Contagious (2005)

Synopsis:  During a medical exam following a car accident, doctors determine a 4th-grader ( Jennette McCurdy ) has been sexually molested. She eventually gives SVU detectives a name and other victims come forward, but evidence emerges pointing to false accusations being made. Review: It's extremely cold outside today so I find myself sitting on the couch watching re-runs of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit with my wife. This one came on a little while ago and impacted me a lot more than expected. On the surface, there isn't really much about this episode that sets it apart from others in the series. However, Jennette McCurdy's performance really stands out. Her fear of naming the man who abused her seemed very real and I couldn't help but feel heartbroken as they tried to navigate through that fear to get the truth.
