A Bunch of Opossum Videos

I repositioned my trail camera again last night and woke up to a bunch of videos on the memory card this morning. Most of those were opossum videos, though I'm not quite sure if it's the same opossum each time or if there's more than one. I suspect it's the latter because the opossum looks bigger in some videos than others.  Anyway, here is a selection of the ones I ended up with.

Trail Camera Photos (9/11/2024-9/12/2024)

I didn't get anything as exotic as the fox I captured on the camera a couple nights ago, but it was still fairly busy in my backyard yesterday evening, late last night and early this morning. This included multiple visits from the opossums in the neighborhood as well as a cat that occasionally shows up back there (I still don't know if it is a stray or if someone is just letting it out at night). Here are some of the 100+ photos that were taken.

Squirrel Photo

Despite all the ice in the back yard, it's actually not too bad of a day out today and the squirrels were out in large numbers this morning. I grabbed this photo of one of them.

Persistent Squirrel

This little critter sure wanted some of that delicious birdseed I have in the feeder outside. It had to stretch out pretty far just to reach it but did manage to get something to eat after a lot of work. Of course, I'm still curious why it didn't just grab something from the pile of seed on the ground below it. Seemed like an awful lot of extra work.
