Harris Mill Park and Shaler Memorial Park, Waupun WI

Image
My youngest daughter attended her friend's graduation party this afternoon in Waupun, WI. Since she only planned on being there about an hour (she ended up staying 2) my wife and I decided to just hang out around town until she was done and ended up visiting both Harris Mill Park and Shaler Memorial Park (which are connected via a bridge) before having lunch at Don Ramon Mexican restaurant, located about a half mile away. I had my camera along because I had originally planned on visiting Horicon Marsh (we decided against it both because of the distance and it was too hot to walk the trails). So, I took some photos while we were there.

Ridge Run Park, West Bend 3/30/2024

My wife had a photoshoot with another photographer in West Bend today, so I served as her chauffer and while waiting for her to get done, checked out Ridge Run Park.  I'll need to go there again when it's a little earlier in the day, not as overcast and a bit less muddy. However, here are a few photos from today.

Afternoon Walk Photos 7/10/2017

My daughters had a dentist appointment in Fond du Lac today (no cavities) and, across from the dentist's office, there was a retention pond/walking trail so we decided to check it out. I had my camera in the car with me so I brought it along and got some photos. We saw this egret a couple different times on our walk but it was closest to us as we were getting ready to leave. I think it was busy hunting frogs because it pretty much ignored us. I wasn't able to get as close to this heron, which decided to stay on the opposite end of the pond and flew off once it saw us moving. But, it was still a pretty cool sight. I saw this pair of dragonflies buzzing over the water and thought it would make a good photo. Kind of wish I was able to get a bit closer though. A picture of the retention pond. A picture of my wife hanging out in the gazebo.
