Synopsis: After suffering a mild stroke and being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, Judith Albright reluctantly chooses to move into a historic nursing home, so her daughter and teenage grandson don't need to care for her as she deteriorates. Shortly after arriving, she notices a dark figure in her room at night and begins to suspect someone or something is killing the patients. However, due to her condition and recent diagnosis of dementia, nobody believes her. Who's in it? The movie stars Barbara Hershey , Bruce Davison , Jill Larson , Nicholas Alexander and Katie Amanda Keane. Review: My wife and I finished our first movie sooner than I expected yesterday and since we still had a couple hours before we'd be thinking about going to bed, I decided to make it a double feature with this film I came across earlier yesterday morning. Since I hadn't heard about the movie before and the plot sounded similar to plenty of other films, I wasn't expecting much but ...

Movie Review: Christmas at the Plaza (2019)

Synopsis: Historian Jessica Cooper is hired to research the Plaza Hotel and put together a historical Christmas display. When she is paired with professional decorator Nick Perrelli, their immediate chemistry puts her relationship with her current boyfriend in doubt. Who's in it? The movie stars Elizabeth Henstridge , Ryan Paevey , Bruce Davison , Julia Duffy and Karen Holness . Synopsis: Still piecing her life back together after the accidental death of her son, Kara, a private nurse and single mother, moves to the country with her two kids to take care of an elderly man who has spent his life collecting artifacts from around the world. When one of her client's artifacts is smashed by an intruder, it releases a large killer spider that puts her and her children at risk. Who's in it? The movie stars Bruce Davison , Elizabeth Roberts , Denise Crosby , Arman Darbo and Chloe Perrin . Review: I was looking for some horror movies to watch for my wife and, figuring you can't go wrong with giant spiders, added this one to our library. We had an opportunity to finally watch it last night and my opinion of it was a bit mixed. I think one of my biggest complaints about this film is the same one I have with a lot of horror films, it takes way too long to get going. Roughly three-quarters of this film seemed to focus on Kara (Roberts), her depression, her ...
