My Thoughts - Stuart Fails to Save the Universe: Spoiler: Stuart Makes a Wallet (8/13/2026)

Synopsis: The device transports Stuart (Kevin Sussman) to a mental hospital where his psychiatrist, Amy Fowler (Mayim Bialik) works to convince him the alternate universes were just inside his head. He is cured and returned to Denise (Lauren Lapkus) and their two kids. However, while he seems to have a happy life, there are clues warning him it isn't real.


My Thoughts:

This was, by far, the weirdest episode yet but I liked it. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I love a good mystery, and this episode had multiple. There was the mystery about where he was, the mystery about who was trying to warn him and the mystery about why his friends seemed to be accepting their perfect reality without question. The last one is never given an answer, other than maybe Stuart is immune because of his connection with the device.

The episode seemed to be setting up a larger storyline. The universe inside another universe twist was an intriguing one. It might just be a one-off, but it felt as though it was setting up something else, such as a main villain who was trying to stop Stuart. And if this show needs anything, it is a main villain to help tie the overall plot together.

I suspect Gary (Tommy Walker) may be more important than the show is letting on. Two things of note - he's been in every episode so far and he's a brand-new character that didn't originate from The Big Bang Theory. Who is he and why is he always there?

We finally get the details about what happened and how Stuart is at the center of it. He knocked the device off the table, setting off the alternate realities, check. Telling him the story via a comic book was clever as well because it added visualization to the story without requiring a flashback scene.

Bialik was great in her cameo. Other than the career change, she was 100 percent Amy Fowler, complete with the intelligent jabs at Stuart whenever he discussed being crazy. I was glad the show just let her be her without trying to add something extreme, as it did with other TBBT cameos.

Final Opinion: I haven't hated the series, but this is probably the first episode I can truly say made me excited to see what happens next.

Kwik Trip Kitchen Cravings Tailgater Pizza

  When my wife and I decided on pizza for dinner last night, I stopped at Kwik Trip with the intention of just buying a cheap, frozen, cheese pizza for our daughters since we already had another pizza in our freezer. However, as I was walking up to the checkout counter, this particular pizza caught my eye and, even though I wasn't crazy about spending $8.99 when I already had another option at home, I was intrigued enough to make the purchase anyway. Behind the Scenes at a "Country" Photoshoot

My wife and I were up early this morning because she had another photoshoot, this one "country" themed. Fortunately, we didn't have far to drive this time around because we met the photographer at the Danville Dam and then Astico Park Bridge, both about a 20-minute drive, and we were able to make it back home before the storms hit. Professor Proton - The Big Bang Theory Spinoff that Should Have Happened

After being off the air for seven years, The Big Bang Theory will be getting a spin-off series that isn't a prequel and will be centered around characters from the original series, albeit not the main cast members. I haven't decided if I am going to watch Stuart Fails to Save the Universe because, not unlike TBBT's Sheldon Cooper ( Jim Parsons ), I do have to consider if it will be worth the time commitment. Plus, while the plot does sound intriguing, I'm not convinced it wouldn't have been better as a movie rather than a television series. One thing the new show does do for me, however, is remind me of the missed opportunity for another TBBT spinoff that probably wasn't even considered but, if done correctly, could have been a success, at least in my opinion.
