I put one of my trail cameras out again yesterday evening but since the batteries are starting to get a bit low, decided to put it in photo mode rather than video. I wasn't sure what kind of results I'd get but I ended up with quite a few photos this morning. Here is a selection:

It was only supposed to be cloudy today (at least according to the weather report I saw). However, I (correctly) suspected we would get rain so I squeezed in a short walk before going into the office this morning. It was dark and gloomy out, something that always makes it difficult to get high-quality photos. But, I did manage to get a few.

I was not alone in the park today when I took my walk. There were a bunch of teenagers hanging out on the observation tower and were so loud, I could hear and understand their conversation from the opposite side of the park. Normally, I try to block stuff like that out but, admittedly, it did start to get on my nerves a bit. I couldn't help but think "this is probably why serial killers stalk teenagers in the movies." Despite this, I did have some relative decent success finding some photos today. This includes a photo of a cormorant I saw swimming in one of the ponds. It was the first time I've seen one close up like that and can cross another bird off my bird list as a result.

I saw these growing near my back door while I was grilling some pork steaks this evening. I thought they looked pretty cool so I took a photo with my cell phone.
