Review: My wife is recovering from strep throat (one of the hazards of working at an elementary school) and since that pretty much means we have no plans this weekend as a result, we ended up watching The Village this morning. It had been a while since I had seen the film and as it turns out, it was better than I remembered. Years after last seeing...

The movie stars Chris Pratt , Bryce Dallas Howard , Jeff Goldblum , Laura Dern , Sam Neill and Isabella Sermon. Review: As a general rule, I avoid judging movies based on their reviews. So, even though this one had a low score on Rotten Tomatoes, I was still willing to give it a chance. However, since I did have some doubts about it, I waited until I could watch it on one of my movie channels rather than pay extra to see it. My wife and I watched it last night and, overall, I have to say I thought...

Review: My youngest daughter has a couple roles in the community theater version of this Shakespeare play next week and, because of that, my wife got this movie from our local library as a bit of a sneak preview. We watched it last night and my opinion was a bit mixed. Overall, I thought the plot was entertaining. There are a lot of fun characters, and those characters do get into some funny situations. Even though it...

The movie stars Chris Pratt , Bryce Dallas Howard , BD Wong , Vincent D'Onofrio , Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson . Review: This movie has been out for a while but, even though it had decent reviews, I was a little hesitant to watch it. This is mostly because, while I loved Jurassic Park, I wasn't overly impressed with the sequels. And, as a result of that, I had some serious doubts about this 4th installment. My wife and I wound up finally watching the movie last night, however, and, after seeing it, I have to admit I was much more impr...
