Trail Camera Photos (8/23/2026)

The weather has been a bit too inconvenient for me to put my trail cameras out but since we finally had a night with no rain or fog, I figured I'd set them up. There wasn't a ton of activity, but I still managed to get photos of rabbits and squirrels. Here are some of them: _______________________________________________________________________ Here are some previous trail camera photos and videos: Trail Camera Photos (7/23/2026-7/24/2026) Trail Camera Photos (7/30/2026-7/31/2026) Trail Camera Videos (1/3/2026-1/4/2026) Trail Camera Photos (11/10/2024-11/12/2024)

I skipped a couple nights but decided to put one of my trail cameras in the yard last night just to see if there was still as much activity (the cats haven't been as interested in looking out the window at night). As it turns out, there was quite a bit happening during the night and early morning hours with visits that included everything from opossums to stray cats.  Here are some of the photos: _________________________________________________________________________ Here are some previous trail camera photos and videos: Trail Camera Videos (1/3/2026-1/4/2026) Trail Camera Photos (11/10/2024-11/12/2024) Trail Camera Videos (10/13/2024-10/14/2024) Trail Camera Photos (4/7/2025-4/8/2025)

I got quite a bit accomplished yesterday thanks to the internet being down for roughly 15 or 16 hours and with nothing on TV last night (because we needed the internet to watch it), I made sure to get my trail cameras in the back yard. It turned out to be a busy night (maybe the animals were without internet too) with quite a few critters walking in front of the cameras. It's been a while since I've had the trail cameras outside because I just never got around to buying new batteries for them. However, my cat, Stormcloud, saw something a couple nights ago that got her agitated to the point she clawed her way through my daughter's bedroom window screen in the middle of the night to go after it. We fortunately found her unharmed a couple minutes later because she apparently changed her mind and didn't go past the windowsill and since I was curious about what she saw, I decided to get the batteries and re-deploy the trail cameras. I'm still not sure what got her so worked up, she's brave but not brave enough to tangle with a raccoon twice her size, but I did get some photos. Here they are: ___________________________________________________________________ Here are some of my previous trail camera photos: A Couple Trail Camera Squirrel Photos (2/14/2026) Trail Camera Photos (11/10/2024-11/12/2024) Trail Camera Photos (10/3/2024 - 1...

A Few More Opossum Photos (4/23/2026)

I once again didn't get a whole lot of photos from my trail camera last night. This time, I am certain it's because the batteries are well past the need for replacement. However, the few photos I did get were decent and, once again, were of one of our neighborhood opossums. Here they are:

I need to get some new batteries for my trail cameras but figured there was still enough battery life in one to give it a try outside last night. It was kind of cold and there wasn't a whole lot of activity in the backyard. I did, however, get a few photos of some stray cats that wandered into the yard (including one that looks so much like one of my cats, I had to verify they were both in the house).

Trail Camera Videos (1/3/2026-1/4/2026)

I don't normally put my trail cameras out during the winter, both because the batteries don't usually hold up in the cold and because there isn't as much activity in my back yard this time of year. However, I decided to put one out near the bird feeders last night, just to see what it picked up. As expected, there wasn't much variety and most of the videos were tripped by the same two rabbits. We did, however, have a feline visitor that I hope found some place warm later. Here is a selection of the videos: ____________________________________________________________________ Here are some more trail camera photos and videos: Trail Camera Videos (10/9/2024-10/10/2024) Trail Camera Photos (4/7/2025-4/8/2025) Trail Camera Photos (5/22/2025-5/23/2025) Trail Camera Photos (3/29/2025-3/30/2025)

I didn't have the same variety I had earlier in the week, but there was still quite a bit of trail camera activity last night, including multiple visits from some of our furry neighbors. Here are some of the photos:

I forgot to put the trail camera out a couple nights ago but remembered yesterday evening and once again positioned it under the birdfeeders. It ended up being an active night, with plenty of rabbit activity especially. However, there was another fox sighting as well. Here are some of the photos:

I've had my trail cameras out several times the past couple weeks but haven't seen a whole lot of activity, so I decided to relocate them last night, to near where I moved the birdfeeders (in an attempt to keep the squirrels out of them) to see if it made a difference. For the most part, it did. I had a bit more activity, though it was mostly just the same critters we normally get back there. Here are some of the photos.
