I ended up cutting my walk a bit shorter today, both because I had a lot of work to do at the office and because I didn't want to scare a heron (last photo) that was fishing near one of the trails. I did still manage to get some photographs though. It was kind of foggy out this morning, but I decided to get out with my camera before heading into the office anyway. I stuck to the shoreline this time around, mostly because the grass in the park was soaked with dew and I didn't want wet socks, and it turned out to be a good choice, even if the fog prevented me from getting photos of the pelicans out on the lake. After using it for several years and many, many photos, I finally pulled the trigger on a replacement for my Kodak AZ425. It was a gift from my wife, and I debated long and hard about the replacement decision as a result. However, the camera is starting to show signs of wear, the autofocus doesn't always want to work and the photos just aren't as crisp as they once were.  So, I decided to stick with the same DSLR design but go with a camera that is both new and has a few more functions, including Wi-Fi capability, while also remembering this is just a hobby and not something I can afford to spend thousands of dollars on.  That camera will arrive sometime in the next few days but in the meantime, I am still using my existing camera as much as possible, including a walk today. I guess I wouldn't describe the weather outside as cold, at least not compared to how it can get in Wisconsin, but it certainly isn't as warm as I would prefer either. However, I stopped letting weather be an excuse and finally got out for a walk with my camera for the first time this year.  I am more than a little rusty (though also in a bit better shape than expected after not being out of breath walking up that hill) so the photos I was able to get aren't among my best. It was a bit windy but otherwise nice today, so I went out with my camera at lunch to see if I could spot anything. I had some difficulty with some of the photos because the camera seems to want to focus on everything except what I want in focus but still managed to get a few, including a well-hidden park occupant I almost didn't spot.

I didn't see any deer or woodchucks on my walk today. However, the turtles are starting to hatch, and I did come across a silver-dollar-sized one on one of the trails. Since it is finally starting to feel like spring, I also got some spring-like shots while I was at it.

I was able to get out for a walk at lunch today. While there were quite a few things I could have gotten photos of, most of them weren't overly cooperative, especially the muskrat and garter snake. However, I was able to get some photos of the Canadian geese on their way back from heading south for the winter.

The temps are getting colder, and we even had some snow this week. However, it was fairly decent today, so I took advantage and got out with my camera. Here are some of my photos:

It was warm enough for some of the turtles to come out during my walk at lunch today. Since it'll probably be the last time I'll see them until spring, so I made sure to include them in my photos.

I wasn't out for my walk long, both because it's very windy and because I apparently forgot to charge the battery in my camera. However, I did catch this photo of some Canadian geese as they flew in to take a break on a pond.

It was a little windy out but otherwise decent, so I ended the work week with another walk. Here are some of my photos:

I managed to get outside before the afternoon rain today. Missed out on a few photos because the birds didn't cooperate but did get the below:
