Trail Camera Photos (7/30/2026-7/31/2026)

I skipped a couple nights but decided to put one of my trail cameras in the yard last night just to see if there was still as much activity (the cats haven't been as interested in looking out the window at night). As it turns out, there was quite a bit happening during the night and early morning hours with visits that included everything from opossums to stray cats.  Here are some of the photos: _________________________________________________________________________ Here are some previous trail camera photos and videos: Trail Camera Videos (1/3/2026-1/4/2026) Trail Camera Photos (11/10/2024-11/12/2024) Trail Camera Videos (10/13/2024-10/14/2024) Trail Camera Photos (4/7/2025-4/8/2025)

I got quite a bit accomplished yesterday thanks to the internet being down for roughly 15 or 16 hours and with nothing on TV last night (because we needed the internet to watch it), I made sure to get my trail cameras in the back yard. It turned out to be a busy night (maybe the animals were without internet too) with quite a few critters walking in front of the cameras. I once again didn't get a whole lot of photos from my trail camera last night. This time, I am certain it's because the batteries are well past the need for replacement. However, the few photos I did get were decent and, once again, were of one of our neighborhood opossums. Here they are:

I got one of my trail cameras out again last night and was disappointed when I didn't have as many photos as I usually have. I'm not sure if it was a lack of activity or if the batteries are finally getting too low for the camera to work properly (possibly a combination of both). On the plus side, the opossums are back out, and I did manage to get a couple photos of one of them.

I didn't have the same variety I had earlier in the week, but there was still quite a bit of trail camera activity last night, including multiple visits from some of our furry neighbors. Here are some of the photos:

I've had my trail cameras out the last few nights with surprisingly very little activity. As a result of that, I decided to change things up a bit and put one near one of my bird feeders again (I recently began filling them again) before placing one outside our window yesterday evening as well.  I ended up having quite a bit of success. Here is a selection of the many photos I got.

The weather was uncooperative over the weekend, so I kept my trail cameras indoors. I decided to risk it last night and put one out behind the house, only to discover it was raining again not long after. However, I still managed to keep my socks dry this morning when retrieving it and captured some late-night activity not far from our bedroom window. Here are some of the photos:

We are expecting bad weather later today, so I made sure to get the trail cameras out last night, just to make sure all is well after dark. We ended up with some visitors throughout the night. Here are some of the videos:

I discovered a new trail camera challenge this morning, retrieving the cameras without walking through a whole bunch of spider webs in the backyard. It's amazing how much those tiny arachnids can do in just a few hours, making me feel very guilty when I accidentally break one (and do some karate moves in the process). Anyway, here are some of the videos from last night and early this morning:

There is a possibility for storms tonight and tomorrow morning, so I probably won't put my trail cameras out. I did, however, place one outside last night and once again had quite a bit of activity from our usual guests. Here are some of the videos:

The temps cooled down a bit yesterday but since it wasn't expected to rain, I decided to put one of my trail cameras out to see what it picked up. There wasn't a lot of variety, but I did wind up with quite a few videos. This included an action scene involving an opossum and a stray cat. Don't worry, neither got hurt.

I am going to need to put some new batteries in my trail cameras because I had both out last night, one on photo and one on video but had little recorded after dark, despite what looks like quite a bit of activity. I did, however, get some useable videos for my efforts, including one of a spider that dropped down and the return of the fox that visited us some time ago, which are below:

I didn't put my trail camera out Saturday night only to have the cats go nuts over something they saw out the window. So, I corrected that last night and was rewarded with quite a few photos, though of nothing other than the usual suspects. Here is a selection:

It wasn't overly busy behind our house last night for some reason. However, the trail camera I placed back there did wind up with some photos, mostly of opossums but also of some ducks early this morning. Here is a selection of them:
