EAA Aviation Museum (Oshkosh, WI)

We have a lot going on the next few weeks so, since this was one of the few days nobody had anything important going on, I decided to take the family to the EAA Aviation Museum in Oshkosh.  It's been several years since we last toured the museum and it ended up being a blast for all of us. There was a lot to see, some fun interactive games to play and my 15-year-old even got to go up in a plane and fly it (ages 8-17 only) as part of our admission.  I was also pleased with the price. Four tickets (3 adults and one child) were $52. It's one of the few places we've gone that didn't charge around $100 for a family of four, mostly because a lot of places consider anyone over the age of 10 an adult ticket. For the record, the family rate (2 adults and up to three kids) is $37. In other words, it's well worth the visit. This was our first time dining at this restaurant (which opened last spring) and, overall, I have to say I was impressed. There were a couple things, in particular, that really stood out for me. One of the main ones was the pizza itself. The three of us each got a personal pizza, which I thought were a reasonable value at $8.95 each. Not only was the pizza delicious, the generous amount of toppings on the pizza made it much more filling than I was expecting it to be.  In fact, I ordered the wound up having it for lunch yesterday, dinner later that evening and had three extra pieces leftover for lunch today. That added ...

My youngest daughter turned 10 on Sunday so we decided to take a family trip to Oshkosh and the Menominee Park Zoo (mostly because it was free). It wound up being a good choice and everyone had a good time. Here are some photos I was able to take:
