Synopsis: After being raised in Kenya and homeschooled by her mother, high school junior Cady Heron is given the opportunity to attend classes at an American public school. As she tries to adjust, she is invited to join the Plastics, a girl clique headed up by the beautiful but vicious Regina George. Despite her friends, Janis and Damian, warning her about Regina and her fellow clique members, Karen and Gretchen, Cady tries to see the good in Regina. That changes when she falls in love with Regina's ex-boyfriend, Aaron, and sees just how cruel Regina can be. Her acts of revenge, however, result in Cady assuming many of Regina's less-than-desirable traits and ultimately becoming a pariah. Movie Review: Mean Girls (2004)

Synopsis: After being homeschooled while living in Africa her whole life, Cady Heron must adjust when her parents move to Illinois and send her to high school. When she is given an invite to join a girl clique known as "the plastics," Cady's two outcast friends encourage her to do it so she can get inside dirt on the school bully, Regina. Review: My oldest daughter had to watch Mean Girls for her Women's Studies class and, since I had the afternoon off, I wound up taking the time to watch it with her. It wasn't the first time I've seen this movie but it had been a long while. After seeing it again, I have to admit this film is a lot better than I remembered. Movie Review: Baby Mama (2008)

Synopsis: Kate has spent her life putting her career first and climbing the corporate ladder. This has allowed her to be a successful business woman but, at 37, the still-single vice president of a whole foods store desires to have a baby. She discovers she is unable to have a baby on her own and is turned down by adoption agencies, she decides to hire Angela as a surrogate and eventually lets the other woman live with her despite being complete opposites.
