I decided to make some pasta for dinner tonight and picked up a loaf of garlic bread to go with it. I saw this particular bread in the freezer section and thought it looked somewhat different. Since it wasn't any more expensive than the other garlic bread choices, I decided to give it a try. After having it, I'm not sure it was a good choice. There wasn't anything, in particular, that was necessarily bad about this product. I thought the bread had a good taste and everyone in the family seemed to like it. It's just, other than the fact you were able to break it apart, there wasn't anything special about it. And, that bake & break was a bit overrated in my opinion. First of all, as I was reminded of tonight, bread is pretty darn hot when it comes out of the oven. So, breaking it apart right after that is something you have to do at your own risk (unless you really want to wait for it to cool down first). I also found the bread isn't completely break ...

Mostly because of the unusual heat (we were in the 90s) on Saturday, my family and I ended up having a bit of a lazy day and, other than doing up the dishes and a couple other small chores, spent most of the day getting caught up on the television shows we had on DVR. When dinnertime came around, I decided to keep things simple and made some spaghetti. And, since I already had a box in the freezer, decided to throw some Our Family Twisted Garlic Bread Sticks in the toaster oven too. I purchased this product a couple weeks ago with the intention of having them with something else we made for dinner (I wound up forgetting I had purchased them). OK, to be fair, I don't blindly put things in my cart and do take a moment to at least glance at an expiration date or look for mold (especially with produce). However, I had to do some grocery shopping yesterday evening and was beginning to feel as though I was in an episode of the Twilight Zone. It seemed as though every aisle I walked into had someone closely inspecting some sort of food item. And, when I say inspecting, I mean they looked at the food the same way an antique collector would inspect an item to determine its authenticity.
