Jimmy Dean French Toast Casserole Bites

Image
I had to stop by the grocery store this morning to pick up cat food and, while there, wound up in the frozen food section.  I hadn't planned on buying anything breakfast related. However, after some debate (mostly over the $6.69 price tag), I decided to give this product a try.  One of the things I found I liked about this product was the uniqueness. The French toast outer crust seemed to complement the eggs and sausage stuffing and, at minimum, gave it a halfway decent flavor (though I did think the eggs came out a little bit rubbery). Another plus about this product is the convenience. All I had to do was pop five of them in the microwave for about a minute and they were ready to eat. I ended up eating mine with a fork but, if I needed something I could pick up and eat while rushing out the door, I do think they are solid enough to allow that to happen without the risk of them falling apart. I do think these would fall more in the "light breakfast" category, at least...

Review of Velveeta Lasagna with Meat Sauce Cheesy Bowls

Normally, I try to bring my lunch with me from home. But, I just wasn't in the mood to do that this morning (I even told my oldest daughter I would pay for her to have hot lunch at school for the first time this year) and decided, instead, to just pick something up after my walk. I ended up going to Kwik Trip before returning to the office with the intention of picking up one of their burgers. However, when I got there, that section had already been picked clean and, since I didn't have time to wait for them to bring out some more, I ended up looking for an alternative. After a lot of consideration, I wound up buying this product for $3.59. When I purchased this item, I really wasn't sure what to expect from it. I've had similar products in the past and very few (actually, none that I can think of at the moment) were very good. However, I made this when I got back to the office and, overall, I thought it was a decent purchase. As far as convenience goes, I...

Review of Old El Paso Spanish Rice

Image
My wife was in the mood for tacos yesterday and, since it happened to be Taco Tuesday, she ended up stopping off at the store to pick up the stuff to make them. In addition to buying taco shells and seasoning , she also ended up buying a box of Old El Paso Spanish Rice to serve as a side dish. I had seen this boxed product at our local grocery stores before but had never purchased it (or, at least I don't remember buying it). And, as a result of that, I wasn't really sure what to expect from it. But, as it turns out, it ended up being pretty decent. I ended up picking mulberries when I got home and wasn't in the house when my wife prepared this item. As a result of that, I honestly couldn't tell you how much work it required. However, my wife did not seem stressed  (as sometimes happens when she's cooking) when I came back inside the house and, based on that, I can safely assume the instructions were easy to follow and it wasn't overly difficult to prepar...
