Wisconsin's weather can be a bit unpredictable at times. In the course of about a month, we've gone from needing the furnace to needing the air conditioner and then some place in between while also braving multiple bad storms that caused one of our local landmarks to collapse and tons of damage in a neighboring community. I would describe today's weather as mild. It was warm enough to not need a jacket but not hot either. The sun is out but there's also a steady wind. Basically, a perfect day for a walk at lunch that turned out to be productive photograph wise. This includes photos of both a blue and green heron as well as a newborn snapping turtle. It was a bit too "peopley" at the park today, limiting my ability to get any photos (though, on the plus side, I did get to pet a Pit Bull that came running over to me). On my way out of the park, however, I noticed this flock of pelicans flying around and was able to get a couple photos before they flew out of range.

It was kind of windy out this morning, but there's a chance of storms later, so I braved it and went for a walk with my camera. I am definitely out of practice with my photography and the limited sunlight wasn't helping much but I did get a few photos that weren't as bad as the others. Here they are:

I think I am going to refer to this one as my "frog" walk because there was a stretch of trail that seemed to have a frog pop out at every step. I ended up with quite a few frog photos as a result, though I managed to get some heron photos with my camera as well. Here are some of what I got:

I managed to get out for a little while today, while it was sunny, not too hot and I wasn't being swarmed by mosquitos. There wasn't a lot to see that wasn't hidden by the overgrown marsh grass, but I still came across a few things. Here are some photos I took with my camera .

It was wet after a lot of rain yesterday and somewhat humid, but I managed to slip in a walk with my camera at lunch today, trying not to step on frogs throughout most of it. Here are some of the photos I took.

We didn't get the rain that was in the forecast, so I slipped out for a walk at lunch today. Since they were mowing the trails, there wasn't as much to see but I did come across some pelicans swimming in the pond and grabbed a couple photos.

The rain we had yesterday left the park fairly flooded, and I ended up cutting my walk short to avoid getting soaked feet. I did, however, manage to get a few photos, mostly of geese. Here they are.

I was able to get out for a walk at lunch today. While there were quite a few things I could have gotten photos of, most of them weren't overly cooperative, especially the muskrat and garter snake. However, I was able to get some photos of the Canadian geese on their way back from heading south for the winter.

It was a nice, albeit a bit windy, day today so we took a trip out to Horicon Marsh for a short while. Here are some of my photos. 

I wasn't out for my walk long, both because it's very windy and because I apparently forgot to charge the battery in my camera. However, I did catch this photo of some Canadian geese as they flew in to take a break on a pond.

Synopsis: I probably won't get an opportunity to get out for another walk this week because of other commitments and rain. I managed to get out today though and got some photos. Here are some of the ones I took:
