Did Karaoke Night at Home Last Night

Image
We upgraded our smart TV a few weeks ago and, last night, I decided to take advantage of its karaoke app and, instead of taking my wife out to the bar, stayed at home. It turned out to be a good choice. The Stingray app cost $6.99/month, which did give me some pause until I remembered it was about what I'd spend on one of my wife's drinks at the bar while the drinks at home were free (our average karaoke night runs around $40). And as added bonuses, there was no wait, and our kids could join us if they wanted. Not to brag but my 15-year-old daughter and I totally nailed One Direction's What Makes You Beautiful. Probably the only thing missing were the loaded nachos we sometimes order. Guess I'll need to get those ingredients on hand before the next time.

Karaoke Night

My wife and I spent another Saturday night doing karaoke, mostly because we were waiting for our youngest daughter to get done with theater rehearsals (which went until almost midnight). I got my song selection out of the way early, starting out with my go-to, Every Rose Has Its Thorn by Poison. Then, as part of a game we were playing, I performed one from the year I was born, Some Kind of Wonderful by Grand Funk Railroad and one from the year I graduated high school, Someday I'll be Saturday Night by Bon Jovi.  I let my wife take the rest of my turns on stage and, while sitting in the front row, managed to snap some photos of her performing. She took one of me too, but she's just so much better looking in them. As always, if you'd like to see some of her professional modeling pics, you can go here .
