Red's Meat Lovers Breakfast Burrito Review

My wife and I made a much-needed Costco run yesterday morning, and it didn't take long for us to be above the budget I had hoped we'd be able to stick to. Despite this, as we were walking through one of the freezer aisles, I spotted a box of Red's Meat Lovers Breakfast Burritos and, figuring it would be a good breakfast option for when I'm at my office, I picked them up.

I gave the burritos a try this morning and thought they were worth the $14.99 I spent on the box of them.

One of my biggest problems with store bought breakfast burritos is, more often than not, they don't have much in them. That was not the case with these. I had two of them for breakfast and only had maybe one bite that was just the outer wrapping with no meat or eggs in it. This both added flavor and made the burritos much more filling.

I also thought the burritos had a good taste to them. The sausage was well-seasoned, giving it a bit of a kick without being too spicy while the cheese sauce also had some seasoning as well. Again, this isn't always the case with frozen breakfast burritos. I've had plenty that were flavorless.

The burritos were easy to make too. I put mine (individually) in the microwave for about 2 1/2 minutes (a little longer than the package said they needed to be cooked but it's an older microwave) and they turned out fine. I also like how there are instructions for making these in the oven or an air fryer, though I didn't have time for either of those. Maybe on a lazy weekend day or something.

Final Opinion: It was a protein-filled breakfast option that proved to be worth the money I spent on it. I'd recommend it, especially if you're looking for breakfast ideas that can be made in the microwave in a hurry.

My Grade: A
