A Couple Trail Camera Opossum Photos (4/22/2026)

-

I got one of my trail cameras out again last night and was disappointed when I didn't have as many photos as I usually have. I'm not sure if it was a lack of activity or if the batteries are finally getting too low for the camera to work properly (possibly a combination of both).

On the plus side, the opossums are back out, and I did manage to get a couple photos of one of them.

Kwik Trip Kitchen Cravings Tailgater Pizza

When my wife and I decided on pizza for dinner last night, I stopped at Kwik Trip with the intention of just buying a cheap, frozen, cheese pizza for our daughters since we already had another pizza in our freezer. However, as I was walking up to the checkout counter, this particular pizza caught my eye and, even though I wasn't crazy about spending $8.99 when I already had another option at home, I was intrigued enough to make the purchase anyway. We ended up making the pizza in the oven when I got home. After trying it, I have to say it is one of my favorites. One of the things, in particular, that really stood out for me when it came to this pizza was the toppings. Review: It's extremely cold outside today so I find myself sitting on the couch watching re-runs of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit with my wife. This one came on a little while ago and impacted me a lot more than expected. On the surface, there isn't really much about this episode that sets it apart from others in the series. However, Jennette McCurdy's performance really stands out. Her fear of naming the man who abused her seemed very real and I couldn't help but feel heartbroken as they tried to navigate through that fear to get the truth. I thought the episode had a nice surprise twist involving the man she does eventually accuse ( Daniel Hugh Kelly ), especially since the case, at least...

Shalom Wildlife Sanctuary (9/27/2026)

We managed to get some more family time in today by making a trip to West Bend, WI and visiting the Shalom Wildlife Sanctuary for the first time in a while. It was quite a bit of walking, but we managed to see plenty of cool animals, including a pair of baby tigers as they were brought out for a short public viewing as zoo staff fed them. I took more than 400 photos while there. Here is a selection of those: ____________________________________________________________________________ Here are some other zoo photos: Henry Vilas Zoo 2/6/2022 Oeschner Park Zoo and River Walk in Baraboo, WI Henry Vilas Zoo, Madison, WI 7/31/2019
