Behind the Scenes at a Beach Photoshoot

My wife was invited to participate in a photoshoot at Bradford Beach in Milwaukee yesterday evening, which includes being included in a swimsuit calendar put out by the photographer each year (I believe she negotiated being featured on her birth month of August). I, as always, went along as her chauffeur and assistant and was able to snap some photos of her myself.

This one was a bit challenging for me from a photography standpoint. In addition to staying out of the way and not always being in a position that had the best angle, lighting, etc., there were times when it seemed as though Milwaukee's entire 550K+ population decided to go to the beach yesterday, meaning I also had to avoid people walking in front of me on a constant basis (and don't even get me started about the parking). I did, however, still manage to get some decent photos of her (though I suspect the professional ones will be considerably better). Most were with my new camera but one or two were snapped with my cell phone.

Incidentally, she both designed and sewed the black swimsuit, showing off some of her other talents.
