The weather cooperated last night, though it was cold once again, so I put out one of the trail cameras behind the house to see what critters came to visit. It was a fairly busy night, with plenty of variety, including one of the occasional visits we get from the neighborhood raccoons. Here is a selection:

Review: I was in the mood for a horror movie last night and, after rejecting a few other choices, decided to watch this film. I wasn't really sure what to expect from it and had lowered expectations as a result. Unfortunately, the movie was worse than I feared. Let's see, how do I put this? If you like movies that have a bunch of random scenes featuring half naked women, it's worth watching. However, as a horror movie, this film really does lack something. One of my biggest problems with the film (other than the excessive gratuitous nudity that seemed to take up half the run time) was how it revealed the killer from the start. Kwik Trip Kitchen Cravings Tailgater Pizza

  When my wife and I decided on pizza for dinner last night, I stopped at Kwik Trip with the intention of just buying a cheap, frozen, cheese pizza for our daughters since we already had another pizza in our freezer. However, as I was walking up to the checkout counter, this particular pizza caught my eye and, even though I wasn't crazy about spending $8.99 when I already had another option at home, I was intrigued enough to make the purchase anyway. We ended up making the pizza in the oven when I got home. After trying it, I have to say it is one of my favorites. One of the things, in particular, that really stood out for me when it came to this pizza was the toppings. The combination of sausage and cheese curds was both unique and delicious, especially since the curds were fresh enough to still squeak when we were eating them. Book Review: Busy Body by M. C. Beaton (2010)

Synopsis: No longer obsessed with James Lacey and determined to end another obsession, Agatha Raisin goes on vacation to avoid Christmas. The vacation is a disaster and when she returns early, she learns Health and Safety Board member John Saturday has done the job for her by banning Christmas decorations, among other things, for safety concerns.  When Saturday is murdered outside a church meeting in nearby Odley Cruesis, there are many suspects. However, the police make the wealthy widow Miriam Courtney their primary person of interest and she, in turn, hires Agatha's detective agency to clear her name. Things become even more complicated when Agatha's employer is also murdered and one of her closest friends is attacked and hospitalized.
