My Green Bay Packers Final Roster Prediction
Now that the backup quarterback situation (at least on paper) has been settled with Brett Hundley being traded to the Seattle Seahawks, I am going to attempt to predict what the Green Bay Packers final roster will look like after they make their cuts following their final preseason game tomorrow night.
Please note, I am just listing the players at random. I am making no attempt to predict the opening day depth chart. I am also not going to attempt to predict what this roster will look like after week 1.
Quarterbacks -
Aaron Rodgers
Deshone Kizer
Tim Boyle
Running Backs -
Aaron Jones
Jamal Williams
Ty Montgomery
Bronson Hill
Fullbacks
Aaron Ripkowski
Tight ends
Jimmy Graham
Marcedes Lewis
Robert Tonyan
Lance Kendricks
Wide Receivers
Randall Cobb
Davante Adams
Geronimo Allison
Trevor Davis
Jake Kumerow
Marques Valdes-Scantling
J'mon Moore
Equanimeous St. Brown
Offensive Line
David Bakhtiari
Lane Taylor
Corey Linsley
Justin McCray
Bryan Bulaga
Kyle Murphy
Adam Pankey
Lucas Patrick
Defensive Line
Mike Daniels
Muhammed Wilkerson
Kenny Clark
Dean Lowry
Montravius Adams
James Looney
Linebackers
Clay Matthews
Nick Perry
Blake Martinez
Oren Burks
Ahmad Thomas
Reggie Gilbert
Kyler Fackrell
Cornerbacks/Safeties
Ha Ha Clinton-Dix
Tramon Williams
Kevin King
Jaire Alexander
Davon House
Josh Jackson
Demetri Goodson
Kentrell Brice
Josh Jones
Jermaine Whitehead
Punter
JK Scott
Kicker
Mason Crosby
Long Snapper
Hunter Bradley
Some notes:
*Aaron Jones will start the season on suspension and won't count toward the final 53.
*Tim Boyle is a strong practice squad candidate. However, after watching Taysom Hill go to the New Orleans Saints last year, I don't see the Packers taking the same chance with him. At minimum, I think they keep him on the opening day roster and try to sneak him onto the practice squad when Jones returns from suspension.
*Trevor Davis is on the list solely because nobody showed they could replace him as a returner.
*The lack of quality depth at offensive line is pretty glaring. I am making my guess using players currently on the roster (and guessing they will part ways with underachieving Jason Spriggs and less-than-impressive free agent Byron Bell) but would not be surprised to see them sign some help after cuts are made.
