Lunchtime Walk Photos 4/18/2020

We originally planned on going to Horicon Marsh again on Saturday. But, both because it was very windy and because we figured it would be extremely crowded, I took the family to Edgewater Park here in town and had them join me on my walk.

I think the highlight of the outdoor time was the girls seeing and even petting a baby snake. And, I did manage to get some photos while we were out as well.

Book Review: The Lady from the Black Lagoon by Mallory O'Meara (2019)

Synopsis: Milicent Patrick lived a full life in Hollywood. She worked in the animation department for Walt Disney, spent some time working as a model and, most famously, helped design the Gill Man costume for Creature from the Black Lagoon . However, because of her gender, most of her accomplishments, including that last one, have been erased from history and/or claimed by men. In this non-fiction biography, the author chases down Milicent's lost legacy and helps her reclaim credit for her work. Review: I love classic monster movies, but I am almost equally a fan of the history surrounding a lot of those classic films. Movie Review: The Boy Who Cried Werewolf (1973)

Synopsis: Richie Bridgestone and his divorced father, Robert, spend a father/son weekend at their secluded mountain cabin. While taking a moonlight stroll, they are attacked by a werewolf. Robert manages to kill the creature but is bitten and, the next time they go to their cabin, turns into a werewolf himself. Richie witnesses this but nobody believes him. Who's in it? Review: It had been nearly a decade since I last watched The Boy Who Cried Werewolf and, when I came across it this morning, I figured I'd give it another try.
