Final Thoughts From The Pretty Little Liars Episode "Choose or Lose"

Some thoughts I had from last night's episode:

1. Well, it looks like the band is back together.  Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) are married, Aria (Lucy Hale) and Ezra (Ian Harding) got their relationship back on track, Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Alison (Sasha Pieterse) made their relationship public and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Toby (Keegan Allen) are a couple again. So, basically, what I fully expected to happen when the series fast-forwarded 5 years and everyone looked like they had moved on.

2. Speaking of Toby, he sure seems to have gotten over Yvonne's (Kara Royster) death pretty fast. It really makes me wonder if he ever really loved her. Oh, and just how long has it been since she died. I was under the impression it was days. But, judging by the fact he now desperately needs a shave and haircut, it must have been much longer than that. Either that, or he's turning into a werewolf.

3. Despite the PLLs apprehension when it comes to Lt. Tanner (Roma Maffia), I actually believe her when she says she's trying to help them. Based on the evidence she has collected, I wonder if she suspects Archer Dunhill's (Huw Collins) death might have been accidental and is trying to get them to give their side of the story so she can avoid charging them with murder.

4. On that subject, despite the notorious "AD" having some influence on their recent decisions, they really don't have anyone to blame this time but themselves. After all, accidentally killing Dunhill with a car while trying to prevent him from killing their friend isn't exactly a crime. Hiding a body, identity theft and obstructing a police investigation are. I think the biggest mystery from this season is how they avoid any jail time because, even if they are cleared of Dunhill's murder, they are still guilty of the other things.

5. I'm honestly hoping Mona (Janel Parrish) doesn't turn out to be "AD." But, I must admit, I'm starting to suspect she is at least helping him/her. Either that or (more likely) she's trying to help the PLLs and the show is just trying to make it look like she isn't.

6. Of course, if she is involved with tormenting the PLLs, I can't say I blame her. All she has done (at least since trying to kill them) is put her own neck on the line to bail them out and they still treat her like an outsider. My theory is she is going to make one final sacrifice, take the full blame for Dunhill's death and go to prison for them. And, even then, I bet they still won't even take time out of their lives to send her a Christmas card.

Final Opinion: The mystery about "AD" thickens and, as I said, the bigger mystery is how they are going to avoid going to jail for the crimes they did commit. However, at this point, you would think the PLLs would have realized not being honest about what happened is getting them in worse trouble than telling the truth. Hire a lawyer already and confess.

My Grade: B
